I have long dreamed of sailing to Scotland and now is the time.
In the evening, Sunday 26 May was time to leave, the first stop will be Grundsund to buy gas and get a few hours of sleep, weather reports look promising with a stable high pressure over the North Sea the next 4-5 days. It will be fun to see some of the places my grandfather told me about when I was a small child. My plan is to sail to Inverness and take the Caledonia canal south down the Inner Hebrides. My neighbour Nils will join me over the North Sea, it is best to have two men on board so we can get some sleep the next 4 days that the voyage is expected to take.
In the afternoon, one day later, it is a heavy thunderstorm around us and then we are just outside Lindesnäs and soon will leave the Norwegian coast, I decide to go into the Lillehamn for a few hours until the storm has passed by.
