Now is the mast on deck, so it’s time to machine now. I have taken the canal certification, it is a must to have in the canals of Europe, regardless of the nautical license you have. VHF is set in ATIS mode its compulsory, DSC is not allowed.
Distances is measured in km not in nautical miles. Left and right instead of starboard and port.
After an overnight stay in Travemunde it’s off to the south. The first canal is Trave running between Travemünde and Lübeck, and it is 27 km long.
Looking forward to seeing all of these canals.
